Our Flowers

bouquets + wreaths
we sell fresh cut flowers + mixed bouquets during our growing season, dried bouquets + wreaths throughout the autumn, and end our season with fresh holiday wreaths in the winter.

bouquet subscriptions
we offer bouquet subscriptions during our growing season. they work much like a CSA - you pay for the subscription up front at a discounted price, and the earnings go toward the necessary supplies and materials to grow and harvest the blooms you will receive each week. subscriptions include a seasonal selection of blooms tucked into a mixed bouquet and wrapped in kraft paper. you can choose to pick up your subscription bouquets at the farm, or have them delivered to you.

DIY buckets
we offer DIY buckets of blooms for weddings and events. this option is perfect for those who value local, organically grown flowers and want to create their own floral arrangements for their upcoming event. each bucket contains about 75 stems of focal flowers, filler, and foliage and comes with one of our black floral buckets. please let us know your preferred color palette and we will do our best to accommodate. flower varieties will depend on what we have in bloom the week of your event.

events
in addition to our DIY buckets, we also take on a limited number of weddings and small events each year during peak growing season (june through october). head to our events page to browse our a la carte menu and place an inquiry!

custom orders
we take custom orders during our growing season. whether you need a wedding bouquet, a few dainty table arrangements, or a bucket of wild blooms, we’ve got you covered!

Our Goal

our goal is to improve our land using regenerative agriculture methods. since we moved to our property in 2022, we have been focused on removing invasive species, planting natives, regenerating our soil, and inviting native insects and wildlife back into our ecosystem.

we are not certified organic, but we do grow all our flowers organically. we do not use synthetic fertilizers or harmful sprays, and we do not treat our flowers with preservation solutions to make them last longer in the vase, as the ingredients in these solutions are not transparent. we do not use floral foam, and we use reusable, recyclable, and compostable supplies and packaging whenever possible.

generally, we sell flowers that we grow, but if additional flowers are needed for custom orders, we supplement with flowers grown by other local flower farms.

most people are pretty disconnected from where their flowers come from (i.e. roses on valentine’s day?!), so one of my biggest goals as a flower farmer is to help my community understand the best flowers you can find are the flowers that are in season and growing at your local flower farm!

Our Story

hi, we’re the lauritzens! we own a 4 acre farm in startup, wa, where we live with our two rescue pups and six chickens! andrew and i both work full time jobs, but on our nights and weekends you can usually find us listening to some groovy tunes while we renovate our home or work on the farm.

if you told us 10 years ago that we’d own a flower farm, we’d probably laugh. we’ve always loved gardening and frequently dreamed of moving away from the city and starting a homestead, but owning a flower farm was never the dream - until it was!

i initially started growing flowers because we were over budget on our wedding, and couldn’t afford to hire a florist. i read everything i could get my hands on about growing cut flowers from seed. i converted andrew’s workshop into my grow room, and turned all our vegetable beds into flower beds. growing those flowers became my part-time job and i loved every second!

it was a stressful year, we were planning a wedding, paying off our debt, and navigating all of that in the middle of a pandemic, but growing flowers sustained me. i felt most alive with the sun on my face, the wind in my hair, and my hands caked in soil. i was only able to harvest one bucket of flowers for our early july wedding, but i was SO proud. most people thought i was insane, but honestly aside from our marriage, learning to grow flowers was the second best thing that came out of our wedding day.

after the wedding we focused all our energy on making our little dream a reality. fast-forward three years and now we have a beautiful flower farm nestled at the base of the cascade mountains with so much potential to grow.

thanks for following along!
megan, andrew, and baby miles
